How much does window film cost in Ontario?
Installed window film in Canada generally runs about $8–$15 per square foot for residential solar film, more for ceramic. Security film runs roughly $10–$25 per square foot, or about $300–$800 per standard window, and commercial film about $6–$18 per square foot installed. These are general industry ranges, not a quote — the estimator above turns them into a planning range for your project.
Is this estimate a real quote?
No. It's a planning range built from published Canadian rates and your rough glass area. Your real price depends on the exact film, your glass, access, and window count. The only accurate number is a free measured quote — call 905-359-7077.
Why is there a minimum for small jobs?
Most installers apply a job minimum (commonly around $400–$700) because every visit includes travel, setup, and prep regardless of window count. Bundling more windows into one visit lowers the per-window cost.
What makes window film cost more?
Film type is the biggest factor (ceramic and security films cost more than basic solar film), followed by total glass area, window size and shape, height and access, and whether old film needs removing first.
