Does security film make my glass code-compliant safety glass?
Not on its own. Film applied to ordinary glass does not automatically become code-rated safety glass — only a tested assembly can claim that. See our OBC safety glass compliance page for the honest details.
How much does security film help against break-ins?
Security film holds shattered glass together and delays forced entry, buying time and deterring smash-and-grab attempts. It is a strong layer of protection, not a guarantee of an unbreakable window.
Can security film also block heat and UV?
Some security films combine anti-shatter strength with solar and UV rejection. If you want both, we match a film that fits your priority.
